President Kennedy (Death in Dallas)

This past Nov. 22nd marked the 47th anniversary of one of America's most loved presidents, John F. Kennedy.  President Kennedy was the 35th president of the United States when he was elected in 1960.  His public execution in 1963 since, has lead to many other downfalls ever since.

I recently brought my 8 year old son, Devin, to the JFK library near Boston, MA.  To my surprise, my 8 year old son knows more about president Kennedy than most grown adults who were alive back when the president was publicly murdered in Dallas, TX.

In my mind, the assassination, and its cover-up are the two most tragic and secretive events in American History.

I have been researching president Kennedy's administration, as well as his assassination and its aftermath for months now.  I am hoping to take a trip down to the city of Dallas later this year to visit its historic sites and to see first-hand places such as Dealey Plaza, as well as Dallas itself.  I've never been down south, and am hoping that I enjoy my visit to Dallas.  Though my focus will be on visiting the 6th Floor Museum at Dealy Plaza, I will almost certainly be looking to enjoy and soak up the local culure as well.  My intentions are to bring my son as well.  I currently home-school my son and am hoping to tie some history lessons into the trip for his educational purposes.

If anyone else has inormation about the city of Dallas or President Kennedy and would like to comment, please feel free.  I look forward to discussions on these topics!  Thank you.
